    Camming 101

I’ve had a fair amount of people contacting me recently, asking about how to get started in camming, so I thought that I would create a quick introduction, that should hopefully answer a few of the questions that people have before getting into the industry.

Who can be a webcam performer?
It’s all skinny, blonde playboy type models, right? Not at all. There are successful cam performers of all ages, genders, sizes, shapes, colours, styles, hair lengths, hair colours. No matter what you look like, there will be customers who will love you. What’s more important is your personality, and how you come across. If you engage people, let them feel like they know you, then they are likely to stick around, and keep coming back to see you

    Who visits webcam performers?
All sorts of people visit webcam performers. There are some who simply do not have the time for a relationship, but enjoy being intimate with someone. There are some who are not able to have some of their more unusual desires met in their current relationship. Some are exhibitionists who enjoy getting people to watch them. Just as there is no “type” for webcam performers, there is no “type” of person who enjoys visiting them.

    A Close Up

Way back in November, before ATVOD decided to screw over small fetish producers, Pandora and I embarked on Big Location Shoot 2014. As part of this, we spent a day shooting for Nimue’s World, and as it was just Pandora and I, I took the opportunity to try a few new things, along side the spanking and BDSM fun we usually get up to.

    ,

One of the new things we shot was a selection of body part close ups - the idea being that I would edit them together to give a close up view of my body, from my head to my toes. And I did start editing that.

    Bigger is Good

This is another one of those posts where I start by saying “when I started producing porn, I wasn’t doing it to make a statement”. I started producing porn because it seemed like an enjoyable way for me to make a living. But I am still realising that the content I make is radical on many levels. The world is not going to change based on my work alone, but I still think that what I’m doing will help out in making a change.

I’ve always set out to show the world what goes on in my head - sharing my fantasies and allowing others to see that they are not alone. But these days, it seems that even showing my body is radical.

I’m fat. I used to be skinny, but now I’m not. But it seems that along my way between the two points, a large group of people have also decided that I’ve also gone from being beautiful, to being ugly, and in doing so am no longer deserving of love, care, or respect.

    What's Changed - Part 1

On the surface of it, it doesn't really look like all that much has changed on my website, and that's probably true.  Most of the changes have been things that you won't see when you stop by!

The major change that you can't see is the fact that this website is now, 100%, entirely MINE, ALL MINE! Previously a percentage of the website income went to other people who did promotion, marketing and other things for me.  But it became clear to me about 12 months ago, that the arrangement just wasn't something I was happy with any longer, for a lot of reasons.  So that's when the process of relaunching began.  I now control everything. I will control the horizontal. I will control the vertical.

The bit of this that I am most excited about is that I now have control over how the site is promoted.  I will no longer have people working with me using offensive words to describe myself and the friends I shoot with.  I will no longer have others trying to shove me into a marketing pigeon hole, that I don't necessarily fit into.  I will no longer be working with people who don't share my values.  I can begin expressing how I view the work I do, how I believe it's a wonderful trend to see more and more performers creating their own content, and how I feel that this can benefit the "porn industry" as a whole.
